Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a strong "Safety First" culture across the operation.
  • Supporting hazard identification, reporting and corrective actions.
  • Planning and coordinating daily warehouse activities to meet customer requirements.
  • Managing stock control and inventory accuracy through the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Investigating and resolving service, stock and operational issues.
  • Monitoring performance against agreed KPIs and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Working collaboratively with wider operational teams to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Supporting process improvements and implementing best practices across the warehouse operation.
  • Operating Counterbalance FLT equipment as required to support warehouse activities.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have previous warehouse, logistics or distribution experience and be confident leading a small team in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Valid Counterbalance FLT licence and practical operating experience.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and stock management processes.
  • Good systems literacy and experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Ability to make quick, effective decisions in a busy operational environment.
  • Strong customer service focus and commitment to delivering high standards.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Reach Truck FLT licence.
  • Previous supervisory or team leader experience within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Experience within transport, logistics or supply chain operations.

What's on Offer

  • Salary of circa £34,000 per annum.
  • Various shift patterns available across any 5 days from 7.
  • Flexibility around shift lengths and rota arrangements.
  • Opportunity to work within a stable, customer-focused operation.
  • Temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term career prospects.
  • A varied role combining leadership, coordination and hands-on warehouse responsibilities.

If you're an experienced warehouse professional with supervisory experience, strong systems knowledge and a valid Counterbalance FLT licence, we'd love to hear from you.
