Manufacturing Operative – Finishing Department

Location: Sowton Industrial Estate, Exeter, EX2
Hours: Full-Time | Monday to Friday
Shift Pattern: Rotating Shifts

  • 06:00 – 14:00 week 1
  • 14:00 – 22:00 week 2

Pay Rate: £15.93 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing

As part of our Finishing Team, you will:

✔ Polish, deburr, and clean precision-engineered components using specialist tools and equipment
✔ Carry out detailed inspections to ensure products meet exact quality standards
✔ Work from technical instructions and customer specifications
✔ Prepare finished components for final dispatch and presentation
✔ Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
✔ Support continuous improvement and work collaboratively within a multi-skilled team


What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to hear from candidates who have:

✔ A strong eye for detail and commitment to high-quality work
✔ Previous experience in manufacturing, polishing, finishing, or similar hands-on environments (preferred but not essential)
✔ A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
✔ The ability to follow technical processes and procedures accurately
✔ A reliable, flexible, and team-oriented approach
✔ A strong awareness of health & safety practices
