gap personnel are recruiting for a fast-growing engineering company based in Cullompton, Devon.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Operator/Setter to join a busy and expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with turning and/or milling experience who is looking to further develop their skills in a dynamic engineering environment.

Experience with Mazatrol or Heidenhain controls is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (turning and milling) to produce high-quality precision components
• Interpret engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
• Monitor machine performance and output quality, making adjustments as required
• Carry out routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety requirements
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Work closely with the engineering team to improve processes and productivity
• Adhere to company policies and maintain high standards of workmanship

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a CNC Operator/Setter (turning and/or milling)
• Previous experience programming is beneficial
• Experience with Mazatrol or Heidenhain controls
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings
• Confident using measuring equipment and working to tight tolerances
• Proactive problem-solving approach
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
• Ability to work under minimal supervision

Desirable

• CNC apprenticeship or formal engineering qualification
• Experience with other CNC controls or machinery

Hours & Pay:

• Competitive hourly rate £18 – £22 DOE
• Monday to Friday, 0800am – 1700pm
