Job description
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Cook/Catering Team Leader to join the catering team at Clifton Hospital, Lytham St Annes. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong catering experience and leadership skills to support the delivery of high-quality meals within a healthcare environment.
This temporary position is initially for a minimum of 3 months, with the possibility of extension through to after Christmas.
Working Hours
- Approximately 28 hours per week
- 4 days per week
- Alternate weekends required
- Shift pattern: 09:30am – 5:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals to a high standard.
- Lead and support the catering team during shifts.
- Ensure food is prepared and served in line with dietary requirements and food safety standards.
- Maintain excellent levels of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
- Support stock control and ordering processes.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Cook, Chef, or Catering Team Leader.
- Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (essential).
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and safe working practices.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently.
- Experience within healthcare, care homes, hospitals, or large-scale catering environments would be advantageous.
