Job description
We have been supporting our client based in Wrexham for a number of years and as they are increasing their orders, they are now looking for 3 more Production Operators to join their team
Working in Wrexham on a 3 shift system you will be responsible for the following
- Setting up, operating and shutting down a production process
- Assessing available information to determine possible special causes and where practicable, resolving them.
- Working with other members of the production department to form an effective production team.
- Communicating with the shift management team to ensure issues beyond the scope of available settings and method are resolved promptly.
- Maintaining the work area in accordance with 5S principles.
- Assisting in improvement initiatives in all areas of the company as part of cross-functional teams.
- Other work (not related to machine operation but required by the undertakings of the company) as required from time to time
Skills needed
- The skills and ability to learn and understand the manufacturing process.
- A good level of spoken and written English.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- The ability to communicate at all levels and work well as part of a team
- Be able to work Mornings, Nights and Afternoon shifts on a rotational basis
Hours of work are
Mornings - Monday to Friday 6am-2pm
Nights - Monday to Friday 10pm-6am
Afternoons - Monday to Friday 2pm-10pm
Hourly rate of pay is £12.71 per hour PLUS a £2.20 per hour shift allowance on ton when working nights
This will be a long term temporary role which can lead to a permanent one for the right candidate
