Assistant Production Planner  

£35k - £38k per annum

Monday – Friday / General Office Hours / Flexibility required  

Wrexham

 

Our client based in the Wrexham area is currently looking for a Production Planner to join their team on a permanent basis. As the Assistant Production Planner, you will support the Production Planner and manufacturing operations by creating schedules, monitoring inventory, and coordinating material availability to meet customer deadlines.

 

Performance Objectives

·        Day to day planning of production schedules for the shop floor.

·        Planning goods in from suppliers on a daily basis to ensure smooth running of the shop floor.

·        Communicate with sales, procurement, and production teams to align customer needs with production capacity.

·        Problem solve on the shop floor and assist in the running of machines as and when needed.

·        Check and ensure necessary raw materials and parts are available to prevent production downtime.

·        Address immediate production issues, such as machinery malfunctions or staff shortages.

 

Person Specification

·        Previous experience of working in a similar role is essential.

·        Ability to problem solve.

·        Able to work to tight deadlines and at times high pressurised environments.

·        Excellent communicator.

·        High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production planning software.

·        Flexibility around working hours.

·        Strong ability to multi-task and remain organised.
