Production Operative

Gap Personnel who operate as an employment business are currently recruiting for a Production Operative in Sandbach.

Role: Production Operative

Job Term: Ongoing work with permanent opportunities for the right candidate.

Pay: £13.00 p/h

Location: Sandbach CW11

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hour week, 8:15am - 4:45pm, X2 15 mins breaks paid, X1 30 mins break unpaid. 

The Person

The ideal candidate will be able to show the following attributes:

• Ability to learn and follow procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced factory environment to meet deadlines.
• A good eye for detail and focused on delivering a quality product.
• Ability to follow operating procedures to ensure high standards are delivered.
• You will need to be physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy items both on your own and with assistance (working with timber and various other building materials)
• Common sense and a practical approach to challenges.
• Good communication skills and self-confidence.
• Willing to develop & learn new skills within a manufacturing and factory environment.
• A reliable character with excellent time keeping (essential).

• Experience would be preferred but not necessary as additional training will be provided.

 

The Role

Responsibilities and Duties

• Using various saws to cut and prepare materials for assembly and stock
• Stocking and managing various production supplies
• Contributing to the production and assembly of all types of timber buildings, from small garden sheds to large bespoke designs.
• Occasional use of hand tools and power tools including nail guns, second fix pins, jigsaws and more.
• Loading and unloading of materials within the factory setting.
• Preparation and painting of panels
• Ensuring factory and workshop is clean and tidy
• Assisting with other elements of the build process where required.

 

Further Details

• Full-time role - standard working hours are Monday to Friday based on a 40-hour week.
• Start time 08:15. Finish time 16:45. Includes, 30 minute unpaid Lunch Break plus 2 x 15 minute paid breaks.
• Full training will be given to the successful applicant.
• Flexible to work occasional Saturdays and overtime during peak production times.
