Job description
Gap Personnel who operate as an employment business are currently recruiting for a Production Operative in Sandbach.
Role: Production Operative
Job Term: Ongoing work with permanent opportunities for the right candidate.
Pay: £13.00 p/h
Location: Sandbach CW11
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hour week, 8:15am - 4:45pm, X2 15 mins breaks paid, X1 30 mins break unpaid.
The Person
The ideal candidate will be able to show the following attributes:
- Competent working with measurements and dimensions.
- Ability to learn and follow procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced factory environment to meet deadlines.
- A good eye for detail and focused on delivering a quality product.
- Ability to follow operating procedures to ensure high standards are delivered.
- You will need to be physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy items both on your own and with assistance (working with timber and various other building materials)
- Common sense and a practical approach to challenges.
- Good communication skills and self-confidence.
- Willing to develop & learn new skills within a manufacturing and factory environment.
- A reliable character with excellent time keeping (essential).
- Experience would be preferred but not necessary as additional training will be provided.
The Role
Responsibilities and Duties
- Using various saws to cut and prepare materials for assembly and stock
- Stocking and managing various production supplies
- Contributing to the production and assembly of all types of timber buildings, from small garden sheds to large bespoke designs.
- Occasional use of hand tools and power tools including nail guns, second fix pins, jigsaws and more.
- Loading and unloading of materials within the factory setting.
- Preparation and painting of panels
- Ensuring factory and workshop is clean and tidy
- Assisting with other elements of the build process where required.
Further Details
- Full-time role - standard working hours are Monday to Friday based on a 40-hour week.
- Start time 08:15. Finish time 16:45. Includes, 30 minute unpaid Lunch Break plus 2 x 15 minute paid breaks.
- Full training will be given to the successful applicant.
- Flexible to work occasional Saturdays and overtime during peak production times.
